Buckle your seatbelts

Can you feel it? A big ole change is coming - even for you, Tom (of Half-Moose with a Twist). The times, they are a-changin'. The energy of this shift is so powerful that my hair is literally standing on end this morning. Whoa. Or should I say wow? Astrologically what it looks like is the planet Uranus moving into Aries on Friday. Sudden, dramatic, unexpected changes will be knocking on your door very soon, unless they're already ongoing.

The tower of power is coming down. Not the Washington Monument, or any manifested tower (that I know about), but the metaphor of the tower of power is about to disintegrate before our eyes. Truth is, it has been coming down for awhile now. In Egypt, Yemen, Libya, in Wisconsin, right here in Washington DC down the street in the Capitol. Holy cow, what a time!

For a visual and some classic interpretative associations with this kind of energy, seen through the lens of the tarot, check this out.

The common wisdom around historical moments like this is to try to relax your body. Breathe, drink water, stretch, get enough sleep. Laugh, please, as if you were riding a big roller coaster.

I think this time of personal and collective re-invention is likely to be hardest for those in their productive and reproductive years. Those of us who are older (and remember the '60's) already know the drill. For children and very young adults, this kind of energy will be easier to negotiate because it just is. They have no other kind of energy to compare it with.

For the 30- and 40-somethings, and the early 50-somethings, cultivating not only the ability to use your iphone while thinking about something else, but also doing yoga and meditating, will help a lot. Embrace the spectrum of calm to fractured. You'll need to call upon every one of those mind/body/spirit spaces to get the most from this time.

Today I'm laughing, kind of hysterically, from the rush of energy. Oh my god. One thing is for sure: the next few years will not be boring. Onwards & upwards. Let's go.

I was just thinking about how last night felt like a crazy energy shift for me personally- like a portal opened up and just bathed me in it- then I read this post. I definitely feel it! Glad I am not the only one! Weeeeee!

Oh Yeah. The winds of change are blowing like crazy around here today, Reya.

As the title to your post alludes, we're in for a bumpy ride!

I have been feeling something but all of a sudden, a few days ago really, I became exhausted. I'm so tired it's crazy. I just want to close my eyes and sleep all the time. WOW, just as I was typing that a big hawk soared past the window. What the heck does that mean??

Yes, huge changes are afoot.
I could definitely feel it/them in Morocco.

Whether this is for good or ill, I cannot tell. Mostly good, I think, once the turbulence has settled down a bit.

Time for people to think and reflect. Time for America to re-think its place in the world and stop being so horribly insular. Do not get me started.
Anyway it will be exciting
To paraphrase Wordsworth during the French Revolution:

Bliss it was at that time to be alive
To be young was very heaven

Not young of course, but still revolutionary....

Tess, that's how I feel. Bumpy perhaps but there will be very exciting fun parts, I'm sure of it.

Ellen, you were a river guide. No one knows better than you how to navigate this one.

Jeanette, as for the exhaustion: me, too! And the hawk, well, how crazy. At the end of my session of acupuncture, the Sufi acupuncturist said I'd grown very large wings, that I can now soar and glide. CRAZY.

I, too, have been crazy tired for the last several days. At least now I have a clue as to why. I have to admit I'm not a big fan of change. I guess I better buckle down and start utilizing all the tools in my toolbox; it sounds like I'm going to need them!

An old friend called me on the phone (one I know since 50 years), and said exactly the same things. It MUST be in the air, even here, across the Atlantic. I am holding my breath.

Angela, this is world-wide. Oh yeah.

I think you got it, something that so many of us have on our minds right now. Changes all around us. I know I am apprecitating the simple things in life so very much.

reya it's such a lovely privilege to be on-board during times of change where it's a big piece . . . ignore the location, look at what's being said and done. the ambition, the wish, the intention and especially the deep-mapped significance. the scale alone suggests that a quality of energy is being made available that can be used for good. i blew past and through the late sixties early seventies energy and it's brought me to this place as who i am. this is so similar it's thrilling. steven

Reya Mellicker said...

Yes, Steven, it is similar! And yet brand new, too. I find it thrilling.

Reya, roller coasters are hella fun. I was THERE for the 60's and I welcome the ride. I've had enough of Amerikkka, thanks just the same.

To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. Onwards and upwards. Parliament is annoyed at our Prime Minister and an election is looming.... an election is inevitable the news says tonight. =D

Yep, I'm feeling it too! Whoa.

Woo hoooo!!! Roller coasters are fun!!!

Thanks, Reya, for this lovely confirmation. I hadn't looked at either cards or stars, feeling so scattered I didn't think of it ... just felt like stuff was falling over all over the place. Glad to know I'm not the only one either.
