Keep it simple

Today stretches out in front of me, mostly unscheduled. I'll have brunch with a friend, then later in the afternoon I'll sit in a beautiful house, one that's part of the annual Capitol Hill Renovators' House Tour. My job there is very simple: make sure everything in the house stays safe. I'll watch rivers of people walk through, eavesdrop on their conversations, perhaps shoot a few pics, if I can do it surreptitiously. It's only a couple of hours so it should be highly entertaining.

The advice I received while meditating and praying this morning is to keep the rest of the day spacious. I'm good with that. Time is my luxury. Spaciousness in my schedule helps calm my spirit, quiets my mind, soothes my heart.

The weather gods, as if dancing in shamanic alignment with my spirit guides, have just pulled a soft overcast across the sky. It might even rain, which would create a perfect backdrop for a simple day. Oh yeah.

Shabbat Shalom, y'all!

Exquisite photos today, especially the first one! It is softly raining in NYC this morning, so I guess it is on its way there, too.

No sooner than I click up your post today, dear Reya, and I find Kenny Barron launching into "The Only One" (Live at Bradley's)at the exact same time. Perfect backdrop music to your attitude and approach today. Something in the universe lining some things up today, I suppose...EFH

Enjoy what has turned out to be the perfect spring day as you sit, listen, and sneak a pic here and there. I have space today too and I'm getting better at relaxing into it, a new thing for me.

Bravo, Barbara!

The sky cleared and now the wind is blowing like crazy. The grass seed is flying, so I'm indoors, window closed, staying safe from the pollen I am most allergic to.

And not feeling terribly sorry for myself. Miraculous!

hi reya, a cold rain that comes and goes like curtains in the wind. north of me it is snowing. 15 cm.
i love the sensation of space. when it's granted me and i'm able to welcome it all in the same breath it's pure luxury. enjoy the space of your fun day. steven
