Zap

A very smart friend advised me yesterday to back slowly away from the cemetery and from all the throngs of dead soldiers who are in town for the weekend. She said, "Go to Crate and Barrel and buy table linens. Hang out with the living." Well. I am so lucky to have smart friends like her!

Oh yeah.

In fact there are so many living people available to interact with the dead this weekend, it's not necessary for me to go with the ghosts. Also, thematically, I should be shopping for table linens, having a beer with friends, moving forward, step by step, towards all the big life changes ahead.

Astrologically, yesterday was a hulkin' dude of a day. Uranus moved into Aries for the first time since 1927. The moon was full and magic was afoot. Did you feel it?

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, which means (to those of us interested in the positions of the planets) that we're in for surprises, unexpected good luck, electrical zings and other energetic shifts. I am such a Uranian kind of gal, I am, astrologically but also temperamentally. In order to dance in shamanic alignment with this brand new Uranian cycle, I am going to engage with the living more fully and completely than I have in the past.

I will always have a relationship with the dead. I love history in all its forms. But for now, there's no use in sidestepping life. L'chaim, y'all! And happy weekend.

Perhaps that's why we had such an incredible light show last night...The best lightening we've had this season.

Thanks, Steven. And yes, table linens are a Very Good Thing.

And you, Rick? You are definitely all the way live. Yeah.

Not today! Indeed.

Okay, so, no hanging out with ghosts. But I appreciate what your friend is saying--kind of a version of living in the now, I guess?

I even took a photo of the moon last night, with my little goofy point-and-shoot camera. But it kind of worked! :)

Hulkin' dude of a [insert noun] will now be a difficult expression for me to avoid using.

And the magnolia photos from the other day ... marvelous. Those flowers are new to me.

Truly life with the living is probably healthier for you then visiting with all the ghosts. There is nothing wrong with the ghosts but sometimes it is good to be with the living and it might be good for the ghosts to move on to where they belong.

Have a great weekend and yes the change is coming soon. Then we will be wishing for the cool weather to come back. Winter, spring and fall have turned into my favorite times of the year. Before menopause I loved summer and looked forward to it each year, then menopause hit and having a built in heater does not bode well during the summer months. But that heater is fantastic during the winter months, especially here in Southern California where it rarely goes below 60 degrees during the winter days. We had a mild winter and I rarely even wore a sweater and I do not think I even wore my lightweight jacket even one time. It never got cold enough that my body heater could not keep me warm on it's own.

I am hoping that I have a better time this summer and would love to start enjoying the summer months again. The flowers are awesome during this time.

Enjoy your wine and enjoy visiting with some living friends and meeting some new ones. Life is wonderful and live it to the fullest.

God bless.

Great Post & Shots. Yesterday as I was walking across town (parking lot to bldg is just a couple of blocks) I saw the most amazing reflection of our State capitol in the Indiana State Teachers Association Bldg. I thought immediadtely of you and almost pulled out my camera {I was in a rush, and had to get to the office pronto!). HOWEVER~ I will keep my camera with me & be watching for another shot like that. I cant tell you how much your photos inspire me. I have taught me to see things from another view literally! Thank you so much! Love to you Reya~ have a blessed weekend!

I've always found the dead to be a bit dull. I'll stick with the living, or at least the living that are still talking to me.
