Roses in bloom on November 7. Crazy.

I feel compelled to say, about yesterday's post, that I am not a neat freak. I don't try to keep my room neat as a pin, oh no! Cleaning an already clean room wouldn't be very satisfying, now would it? Living life is a messy project, so I live, and then I clean, and if it doesn't get done, I don't sweat it. Also I don't own much stuff and live most of my life in a small space which makes cleaning so much easier. If I had lots of furniture or doo-dads, or a huge living space, cleaning could be a nightmare, an impossible task.

OK. 'Nuff said about that one!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Stunning pics Reya!
You make me giggle. Thank you for that. Clean, messy, it's whatever YOU like. Enjoy your day, and go and smell those gorgeous roses.

Your photographs have a wonderfully surreal feeling to them, Reya.

I have a card sitting in front of me. It says: Life is Messy. Wear a smock!

p.s. Thanks for your comment this morning. xx

What!? You're a slob like me? I am totally disillusioned.

You know, my work takes me into some incredibly big houses and the first thing I think of is...man, I'm glad I don't have to clean this house. My second thought is always...I'm glad I don't have their electric bill.

I'm not a neat freak either, but I'd be happy to sign up to clean Willow's doo-dads.

If it would help.

Best housekeeping tip ever
buy a lovely bunch of fresh flowers and people will look at that
and, with luck,
will not notice............!

A couple of blocks from where I live is a rose bush that has newly formed roses that are about to bloom. First we have cold blustery days with sleet and, yesterday, mild sunny temperatures. Today its clear and sunny though a bit brisk.

As for cleaning, its only necessary to clear the cobwebs from your brain to allow the circulation of energy, and thus, new ideas.

(Reya: this is not so much a comment as an e-mail-ish message... I finally updated! :) I had the post in mind for a week or more, but finally got around to putting it up there... I think we were thinking along similar lines about the turning of the wheel... Thanks for the nudge! Karen)

Great shots; ethereal indeed. And your previous post, well what can I say? I got into it with the pharmacy tech who thinks Obama and health care legislation will be the doom of the country. Since I was waiting for blood pressure meds, I suspect the encounter was not good for my health.

If I didn't have so many parties my house would be a wreck. Entertaining is my motivation! I have noted Elizabeth's flower suggestion for future use.

*I love the late blooming rose. There is a poem here, I'm sure of it.

OH! The roses are absolutely transformative! Am trying to catch up today. I liked your consideration of the purpose of the stepmothers and sisters. It is true, isn't it? They were making heroines do seva and were leading them to a stronger path.

Have to go dust my doo-dads now. It is my Sunday chore. Happy Sunday!

i'm with Butternut--company coming over is about the only thing that gets our place organized. And i think it would be wonderful to only have enough stuf to fill a small apartment....Listen, the more space you have, the more junk you seem to need and acquire.

I have a couple of rose bushes in the yard that are still blooming beautifully, despite nights of frost. Everything else is done for the season, but they are hanging in there. I am loving it.

Dusty doo-dads: a menace to society. I have doo dads but I keep them packed away mostly. I only allow a limited number of doo-dads on display at any given time which makes dusting far more fun.

If housework is hanging over you like a heavy weight on your shoulders, then hire someone to do it for you. Honestly! I do it because I enjoy it.

You too.

I have found it much easier to maintain my space when my space was small (a room or a tent) versus a whole house which invites wandering and diffusion of purpose. Both have their plusses, I suppose.

Your November Rose is stunning! So very beautiful and elegant. Interesting weather here in Indy too and our flowering plants are so confused!
