Gesundheit!

It's a beautiful early autumn day out there. I can see the lovely blue sky and wispy clouds from my window. The air feels soft yet cool, a gentle breeze moves the leaves around just enough to create the softest shhhhhhh. It's beautiful ... and ... distorted, as if I were looking through very old, super wavy glass.

I should be working today, but I'm not. As it turns out the alleged rag-tag virus turned out to be a virulent supervillain of a virus that has brought me to my knees.

Ah.

Ah.

Ah - CHOO!!

Oh, Reya, take care of yourself! I'm sorry the virus still has you down! (Apparently pollen counts are high in some areas too -- which seems strange for fall, but go figure.)

I hope you feel better soon. Viruses are tough to deal with because they often defy diagnosis and treatment, preferring instead to just play with us before finally letting us go. Tea with honey and chicken soup are good allies!

Ja, Reya, ich wünsche Dir gute Gesundheit! Komm schnell wieder auf die Beine! Seeing that you love Rilke (so do I! I wonder if you know his beautiful Autumn poem: Herr, es ist Zeit...), I thought that maybe you know some German? If not, these were good wishes!

I do believe that SOMETIMES sickness is our body's way of telling us to take time out and REST - so make the most of it, pamper yourself, drink hot toddies, engage in peaceful things like reading and movies and SLEEPING; really hope you are feeling better soon soon soon

Thanks Val. I slept most of the morning. Now I've got some Colin Farrell movies queued up. It could be so much worse!

That's a good point: slow down and rest!

Take care, I'm not sure what's going on out there, a lot of people sneeezing though or just feeling too punk to even have a small meal.

I hear some potent allergens are in full bloom now in some places.

I had that icky cold a few weeks back and it was nasty. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I love that wavy vintage glass. Some of the windows of Willow Manor still have it!

There is something about October, that brings on the sneezes. As always you're just a bit ahead of things. Get well!

Feel better, my Reya. Sending you thoughts of good health. 'Tis weed season, you know - I'm sure the Sufi acupuncturist has something up his sleeve for that. Last but not least, Gesundheit!

Sorry you are down with virus. I agree about that moon. Please take good care of yourself and don't try and leap up too soon.

p.s. may I ask what camera you use? Your photography is just stunning.

Feel better soon Reya! The weather is too gorgeous to be sick and kept inside!

If you can watch movies you're not doing too badly. Drink lots of fluids, black tea (to flush system to get rid of bug faster), chicken soup and comfy jammies.

Black tea? That's good news! I love black tea.
