The calm after the storm

The mood passed as I knew it would, even in the midst of it. This morning, I'm laughing at my passionate, intense and vociferous nature, as I almost always do. I didn't take it out on anyone, so that's a good thing. Also I let the mood move through me rather than trying to stuff it so as to be "nice" or because I think I need to "stay positive." I have no idea what that means. Do you?

Also I'm appreciating the pristine sparkle here in the chateau. The aftermath of a cleaning frenzy is a state of dust-free grace. What is not to love about that? No harm done. Onwards and upwards.

Summer, too, will pass. The air will cool, the rains will come (I hope), the leaves will turn and the land will become quiet.

I know I'm supposed to live in the moment, but during summer it's extremely difficult to Be Here Now. I am not a summer person. That is all.

Shalom.

I wish something would whip me into a cleaning frenzy. I feel so much better when my house is shining but I never, ever, feel like doing it. I love that top photo, especially the little spider webs you can see.
I am also not a big fan of summer but I like the idea of it.

Oh. Didn't notice the spider webs. Cool!

Oh I am a summer person. the year I lived in Chicago was the most miserable year of my life. I may not go out much during the hottest two months of the year, hotter now than when I was a kid or even a young adult, but I still prefer hot weather keeping me in than cold.

Variety is the spice of life.

Even though I love fall and winter, even I do not enjoy Chicago in winter. It's ridiculous there with the wind coming off the lake. Stupid cold.

All things pass, right? I'm not a summer person either. As much as I've been grousing about our rain and coolness, it's better than heat in my book.

How much did we love summer when we were kids though. School holidays, the beach...winter is particularly chilling here at the moment. Autumn has always been my favourite season.
Really dislike "being nice" when I don't feel like it. Think the worst piece of advice is "don't let the sun go down on your anger".
Talk about a forced compromise! Many times things take time to simmer, stew and resolve, time being in its favour.
No, I'm with you. Ride the moods out. Can't stand forced positivity.
Have a great week Reya - good to see you out an about with your camera. Always enjoy the creative pics from your interesting part of the world. x
