Moon Shadows

Some days when I wake up, I'm kind of sad to leave my dreamscape. I have lots of truly outstanding dreams.

This morning, though, it was a total relief to wake up in my warm, soft bed. I was dreaming that my sister Hannah and I were living in Riverside Park in NYC, homeless, cold and hopeless.

I blame (as Willow would say) "that old devil moon" for the nightmare. She (the moon, not Willow) was so gauzy and powerful last night, shining through her veil of clouds. This morning the sunlight is super bright white/gold, dispersing all the energy of the nightmare. The creepy light of the full moon is just a scary memory this morning. Me? I feel wide awake and fully present, a Very Good Thing, believe me!

That looks almost exactly like a picture I took of the moon Saturday night (not one of the ones on my blog). It has been so big and bright the last two nights. I also had disturbing dreams last night, or rather, early this morning. Only it's cold, rainy and gray here. could use some of that sun.

The moon and I are madly in love with each other; or perhaps I just love the moon and she doesn't notice me.
But I think she follows me and shines more brightly when I notice her.
Last night she was breathtaking - she had a lovely golden sheen.
She was big; full and full of herself.
And then I saw her on television, looking like a huge gold medal hanging above the Vancouver Olympic celebrations.
I'm sorry she creeped you out, Reya.
She doesn't mean it.

Yes, my dream activity is always up during the full moon. In last night's, I had all these etheric beings hanging out and wanting to know how to make spaghetti sauce.

So, there I was with all these beings, fresh chopped garlic, peppers, onion, herbs and adding a jar of off the shelf sauce instead of fresh tomaotes. I would never serve other worldy beings bottled sauce. That was a nightmare.

The moon was intense out here in Idaho, too--I had a restless night & was up way earlier than I planned! Great moon pic.

Ronda! You are just perfect. I would never serve them bottled sauce either. How funny.

Susan I have a love/hate relationship with the moon. I drew her down one year at witch camp. Since then we've been closer, but sometimes she gets in there and freaks me out. I do believe she intends to, but it's not like I'm mad at her or anything. It's her nature.

Oh, I don't know, I was pretty gauzy and powerful last night. ((giggles))

Actually, I had a horrible night's sleep and am blaming that Old Devil.

I had weird dreams last night too. I dreamed that I returned to Morocco, but it wasn't quite like the Morocco where I once lived. Very strange! I think the moon must have touched me a bit as well!

the moon has been quite striking of late --I am happy to see you have wrested yourself from its gloomy grasp and haved entered the day feeling refreshed and vibrant! Too much winter me thinks! Bring on spring!

I have troubling dreams nearly every night lately. I don't get it.

Merle? It's that old devil moon!

i love how everyone has their own relationship with the moon. Its a good place to leave messages too for friends and family far away.

I had a wonderful and dreamless sleep last night.

Perhaps that was because Toronto is notoriously cloudy all winter and we seldom get to see the moon.

Or maybe it was just because I was exhausted and slept like a log.

I could NOT sleep on Sunday night, and my husband and I were both restless on Monday night. I think that big moon has been shaking up things all over the place. A blog friend of mine, who lives in Brittany, wrote a poem to it.
