It was a strange night last night on Tennessee Avenue. Somehow or another I had a big blowout fight with one of my roommates - I have no idea why. Right afterwards I heard my next door neighbor shouting at someone in a car on the street. This morning I saw friends at the market who told me someone broke into their car, but took nothing. Someone robbed another neighbor's daughter at gunpoint.
Really bizarre energy around here. I still feel uneasy. Anyone else experiencing a strangeness? Maybe it was the full moon. You think?

That's what they always say, the emergency rooms fill up and the teachers of teenagers brace themselves for the waxing of the moon. Sometimes I am completely possed and must apologize for wearing my wolf on the full moon.
Oh Reya! It's true that sometimes we get caught up in the energy that is around us. But most do it without awareness...just as a reaction to the tension. It's something I've noticed in my life...I'm practicing being non-reactive and self-observant.
It does not always work because I also can implode the feelings...get a depressed feeling. That's not observation-it's internalization.
My family looks me with a doubtful eye...and sometimes with anger...when I opt out of the crisis-shrill reaction.
I hope that you all have harmony soon...'somethings in the air' whenever change is afoot. Maybe it's good? <3
Yikes--that moon did look pretty intense out here last night. I've been feeling "off" for a few weeks & waiting for an "up" cycle.
Hope everything works out ok.
Full moon, for sure. But we've been feeling negative energy here, too. There are bad things going on in the world. The wildfires in California, the melt downs going on over healthcare, mass murders. Nasty stuff. Negative energy spreads. The only way I know to combat it is with positive energy - meditation - prayer. Do you have any ideas?
Wow! That was a bizarre and intense night on Tennessee Avenue. The moon I'm sure influenced the events. But also, we are just days from entering another Mercury Retrograde. Communications breakdown, among other things, during these times. I'm sure that Ol' Devil Moon was magnifying the retrograde energy.
I'm still trying to fix things from the last one. Maybe since we are entering the phase again, I can re-visit and conqueor these issues. I especially want the internet conectivity resolved. Oh, please.
That picture is amazing. I swear it appears to pulse as I read the post. I look directly at it, and it stops. Look away...and there it goes again. Wow!
Last full moon really "caused" bad dreams & difficult sleep. Maybe this one left tempers short.
Here, two of my friends are dealing with the loss of their husbands. Sad times for them... reminds me how lucky I am & to cherish my time with the G-man.
Butternut I love the idea of apologizing for momentary possession. It did feel a little bit like that to me.
I was looking for positive energy, but my roommate was feeling glum and hopeless which is when things spun out of control, I think.
Really weird. I still feel a bit fragile from it all.
It's got to be the moon. Things have been in quite the uproar around here as well. I hate to admit it but of those around me it appears that the women are the ones flying into irrational rages. Not me, of course, but still...:) Is it possible that we are even more susceptible to the moon's energy?
Nothing strange here. Maybe the effect of the moon doesn't cross the border (as least not without a passport).
Linda and I just went peacefully to bed and to sleep.
My King Kong washing machine almost ate me. Does that count?
reya - i'm sharing barry's experience as far as peacefulness. perhaps the experience is different north of the parallel. i felt anger around me on the road home on thursday. nothing happened, but i could feel it very clearly. but quiet, good vibes since then. i'll send some across the lake and across your way! have a peaceful day. steven
The full moon affects moods and weather. Add that to cyclones, hurricane winds and weather patterns and...
Alls i know is (remember that phrase from "Murphy Brown"?) my husband and I went to NY for the Open and even though we were having an absolute blast we bickered like children. No idea why but it was unnerving and would have spoiled the entire trip had it not been for the unbelievable atmosphere and spirit at the Open. I will chalk it off to the moon.
No, I love the moon and always feel calm around the full moon. I draw it down and absorb its energy. That's not true of my werewolf, lunatic son though. He always turns wild at the full moon. Men have cycles too, don't they.
Blessings, Star
I had a terrible time falling asleep last night and slept fitfully. The past few days were nit-picky ones for me. Now I am just tired...
I was born at the dark moon so I tend to blame the full moon when things go crazy.
I believe the planets are big and even tempered and don't mind if we blame them. Better than blaming each other, definitely!
YES! I am feeling mildly irritated...uneasy...don't know why because usually I don't give a shite...Yes, I am feeling it! I never drink but am off to have a gin and tonic right now. Thanks for validating my prickly feelings...I blame the North Koreans...and humourless people everywhere...
ah that explains this afternoons spat of overreactions!!! residual devil moon mojo!
just a few days ago, a young police officer was killed in a little village a few miles south of here - the first such death in over 37 years - VP Joseph Biden attended the vigil for him yesterday - the officer's partner also was shot but survived - ultimately, neither officer had even gotten all the way out of their patrol car when they were shot - i've put a brief post on it at gypsywomanworld -
i totally agree with nancy about reflecting our own positive energy to offset that around us - positive begets positive i know!
great great post - and the image is magical - love it all!
Just getting caught up on your recent posts - the journey's last bits and some memories you shared - the full moon sometimes seems to coincide with very dramatic happenings, but not so much this month for me. Definitely a move into a new season, though.
I slept on and off till 9.30 am - unheard of - I wondered if it was the moon.
Maybe Washington DC was lined up to feel the moon in a particular way. Like waves rippling out, some places might get the highs and others the lows.... Who knows?
I know that we went out for a meal which ended up being by candlelight due to a power outage. I was also so tired and went to bed really, really early....
I love the idea of blaming it all on the North Koreans and humorless people everywhere. Yeah!
No fighting, but I saw three ghosts on Friday. Two of them within seconds of each other. Very strange.
Ronda mentioned the Mercury retrograde we've just entered. A really fine psychic in my area also says that with the energy realignment that's in process, many of us are getting energy adjustments from our guides and helpers and that that can make us feel unlike ourselves. You, being more sensitive than most, may be feeling it all -- not only your own stuff, but other stuff from other people.
The "Corn Moon" this month. It's probably just got your ears up (ouch, that one was awful...). I'm not sure if it was the moon or not, but I did something impetuous. The moon didn't hurt, that's for sure. Where I was, it was coming up between the trees, and had a little wisp of cloud in the center of it, like a cat's eye.
Saturday was an off rainy day for me. My run felt incomplete and dull ( I ran 5 miles and felt I accomplished nothing, I felt full of anxiety, anger and jealousy). A visit to see my mother resulted in an argument (I haven't seen her in months and we acted like complete strangers)
I do feel there was some uneven kilter going on that day.
I feel a big change coming.
