I will not winge!

I didn't mean to complain yesterday. I love my work, I do. My clients are interesting, complicated and all different from each other. I feel completely myself when I'm in the treatment room.

My job is a very technical kind of anatomical sculpture, combined with dance and prayer. I don't ever have to sit at a desk in a cubicle, pushing paper around, answering endless emails. I never have to sit in boring meetings. Of course there are tedious moments, but not very many of them.

Every session provides me with the opportunity to be creative. Every session requires me to pay attention, focus, and be present. In truth I wish I had greater stamina, more mental and physical energy so I could do more of it. Didn't mean to sound whiny yesterday. Sheesh.

That said, I'm off to work. Have a wonderful Monday.

It's OK to winge now and then even when you love your job.

work has a different quality of freedom to that which you experience when you're flyin' in a jeep with a blue lake blue skies and life dancing multi-faceted all around you so of course you winge, moan, writhe in anguish!!! of course!!!
i love the boy motoring off on the yellow paint field- "keep on truckin" , "truckin' on down the line" - remember those cool drawings reya!!! have a peaceful dc day. steven

Go ahead, whinge all you want. My hypnotism-&-cancer-chapter-writing partner assures me that this whinging is a good thing. It allows us to exteriorize the crap crowding our minds and gets rid of it, leaving a cleaner, fresher state of mind behind. Like taking out the trash.
It's only all-whinging all the time that's a problem. But that's not you.
Have a good one!

I didn't even see the whining in yesterday's post. I thought - of course! We all do things we should while dreaming of other things. You're so recently home from vacation that of course you want to still have that freedom, even though you also love your work.

You'll have to enlighten us more on your work.

"...technical kind of anatomical sculpture, combined with dance and prayer." Yes, yes, yes. Not to mention being able to work in an altered state of consciousness most of the day. Really, does it much better? Lovely people, nice music, no one interrupting while in session.

Off to work for me too.

I know this is off the subject of your posts, but I follow your blog and I had a very surreal dream last night. I saw a friend of mine (who died from suicide in 2002 at the ate of 43) she looked really good, happy pretty and young. I felt it strange she came to me last night. She was trying to keep me away from death. Showing me elevators and ways to go, the "death" was impending doom if you were caught. I felt like she was trying to show me a way or path. The dream comes in bits and pieces. I don't know how I should interpret this dream. I know you believe in spirit guides and so do I. When do you know when your dreams are trying to communicate? This is the 2nd night in a row, my dream was associated with a path or direction, like finding a job or better way.

Thanks for letting me share this with you.

Well, how cool!

Thanks so much to all for letting me off the hook!

Melissa, I'll reply to you on your blog or if you have an email address attached to your blog, I'll reply there.

Melissa, if you leave an email address here, I'll write you about your dream. I'm going to turn on comment moderation so your address will not be broadcasted. It's an important dream!

Hi Reya! I didn't think you sounded whiny or whingy at all! Not even fretful! :)

you know, i'm sure every single one of us wishes at times, some more than others, to have greater stamina, more mental and physical energy to allow us to do more...

nothing at all whiny about that...

obviously you are very dedicated to your work - and the world is a better place with people such as you in it -
