Someone took a lot of time putting in that tulip-grape hyacinth row. <BR/><BR/>Why I don't plant tulips anymore:<BR/><BR/> 1) most of the better ones are Darwin Hybrid and bloom later which means<BR/><BR/>2) you have to leave the dead foliage alone for next year's growth, right when you want to plant other stuff<BR/><BR/>3) one whip of bad weather and they get wiped out (daffodils seem sturdier)<BR/><BR/>4) my neigborhood children love picking the blossoms off so I have stalks<BR/><BR/>I only have one bed of red going anymore called General Eisenhower and they are old.
