Happy Hour

From the wonderful Astrology Zone

Aquarius: The eclipse, August 5, will bring your desires to fullness. It will also package all the good energy in the air and make it accessible to you. You should find that this month you can finally harness and direct it toward the areas you'd most like to improve.

OK. At last the day has arrived!! ... oh ... except the eclipse isn't really until tomorrow. What an unfortunate typo. OK, so ... more waiting.

Kicking back, receiving massage, taking a walk, reading blogs, listening to the blues - that's how I plan to spend today. Maybe I'll find someone to go have a drink with this afternoon. If I were a monarch butterfuly, I would belly up to a lovely purple flower, guzzle some nectar, but because I'm human, I guess it'll have to be a bar and a beer. Whatever.

  1. Wish you and I could go out for a drink tonight. Wouldn't that be fun?

  2. I rarely see a monarch butterfly these days. I remember my summers being literally filled with them as a girl. It's so special now when I see one. Fabulous pic. Enjoy your day!

  4. It's your weekend ! enjoy

I am waiting in the wings as well

I had a monarch spend the day with me in the garden. The little neighbor boy wanted me to catch it for him so I had to give a lesson on "no" and "why?"

  7. Ah, a day with a plan I find can be just as good as a day without a plan.

Although the day you have plans and those plans fall through is equally crappy as a day where you have nothing planned, and you do nothing at all.

I'm glad you have a fun, relaxing plan.

  10. i love the gracious sweep of the red petalled flower sitting peacefully and watching the little yellow flowers dance and bob and wink and shimmy and sputter sweet littles into the air.
oh by the way, in the butterfly world a little pink flower with a red flower is called a beer and a patio! have a sweet day of peacefullness . . . . steven

  11. Yes, Reya, I would love that.

We have a ton of Monarchs here in my yard in the city. I have a large stand of butterfly weed (milkweed) which is the host plant for the caterpillars and we often have chrysalis (chrysali pl?) hanging on everything. Did you know it takes about 15 minutes for a caterpillar to change into it's chrysalis?

  17. Wow - GORGEOUS pictures! I like the sky and all, but I'm a flower person mostly - well I like trees too. Hmm - maybe I'm about the ground & not the sky?

Can't wait to hear how tomorrow goes for you!

  18. Reading this a day late, methinks. But your invocation of classic Blues has given my headphones a path to follow... Eclipse or no eclipse, a rainy day calls for it. Blues via Son House, in particular. Da master.
